Mahiru has medium faintly-feminine stature, fair skin with freckles, bowl-cut red hair, and green eyes with a heavily dilated avian quality. Below the knee, her legs are thin, dull gray sticks that end in sharp talons. She wears modest Bavan fashion, never trousers. At work and during other special occasions when humans appear in large numbers, she hides her feet in large boots and stockings supported by garters. The main influence for her design is the female northern cardinal. She is weak to electricity, predicts the weather, has excellent vision, and has speed powers lasting a mile with severe cooldown.
